Where can I get a good pair of binoculars online?

Can you answer fiftywarthogs's question about Binoculars?:

Can anyone give me some links to where I can buy a decent pair of binoculars online, and some suggestions about what is good for bird watching.
Cheers

for the money Nikon makes the best affordable set look for a 8×40 or a 8×42 (8 power and either a 40 or 42 mm objective lens) with Christmas sales now you probably can get a set for around $100 to$120.00….

first you want to try them out at a store before you buy…..really you do…

if you are looking for a long range pair of binoculars may be a 10×50 , but they will be heavier and will shake a little more

Have you tried? Ebay is also good. Go to shop.com, or as they compare prices for you to select the lowest:-)

GOOD LUCK & HAVE A GR8 DAY!!!

Try Cabelas.com, and don't cheat yourself. With any optics you get what you pay for.

Binoculars…. birdwatching…

Hmmm….

How about go to the National Audubon Society website and see what they recommend/officially endorse?

I can tell you, but I used to work for the company and I don't want to make too shameless a plug.

8×42 seems to be the most popular size for birding.
