What do people think of Galileo binoculars?
Can you answer McCann's question about Binoculars?:
I'm worried I bought the worst brand for binoculars so if people could tell me their opinions on it for the purposes of astronomy (a 10×50 pair) I'd appreciate it.

10×50 is a decent pair of binoculars. I'm not familiar with the "Galileo" brand, but it's named after one of the right guys if you want to observe space with an optical aid. Could you possibly explain what the problems are… it's very possible you have a simple troubleshooting problem, and the binocs are okay.
Side question:
Do you have porro prism or roof prism binocs?
Porro keep light better, but weigh much more per magnification.
I personally find 10×50s to be the best size for astronomy. As far as brands go, stick to the major brands, such as Nikon, Pentax, Orion, Celestron. Avoid the cheap brands like Galileo, Bushnell, and Tasco. Expect to spend $100 to $200 for a good binocular. Avoid zoom and "universal focus" binoculars.
