what type of binoculars work best for hunting whitetail in woody areas?

Can you answer tackelberry88's question about Binoculars?:

My binoculars are 8×25. I was out scouting today and when a buck came through I couldn't tell if he had bron-tines or not b/c I couldn't zero in that close. So should I go with longer distance binoculars? Are there certine binoculars that can zero in on a specific thing through thick brush?

10 x 25. About the best magnification you can get without having to put them on a tripod to eliminate unsteadiness. And pay about $100.00 for good quality optics. Don't know about "centie" binoculars but I'm sure somebody will Google it for you.

8 power is good. You can benefit from a larger objective lense, to provide a sharper image. 8×40. One of the problems with 10x binoculars is that they do not have as wide a field of view so it can be sometimes difficult to find the object you are looking for especially in a cluttered field. The other consideration is the quality of the optics. If the optics are not good quality, you may not be able to make out the subtle details. The very best 8 power binoculars are manufactured by Nikon and Swarovski and cost well over $1000 a pair. You probably do not wish to pay that much for a pair. But here is a good pair for considerably less with a wide field of view.

Pentax also makes a good pair.

Among the 10x binoculars, the widest field of view is manufactured by Swift. 341 ft at 1000 yds.

my husband has the brunton epics and really loves them. he is an avid birder and hunter and would wish to have swarofski's, but who wouldn't. i have the nikon monarch's and they are really good to. i can see things really well and even through thick brush. they are not so outrageously priced that someone couldn't afford them.
